Alternative definitions for GAS

We were joking about at meal time and definitions for GAS came up.

Everyone knows the standard Gear Acquisition Syndrome, but how about:

Grub Acquisition Syndrome (teenage boy, always hungry)
Gut Acquisition Syndrome (for someone who eats/drinks too much)
Gut Augmentation Syndrome (for someone who eats drinks even more)

and for my wife:

Guitar Acquisition Syndrome (If you thought saxes were expensive, think again )

And for the boys:
Girlfriend Acquisition Syndrome

And for the girls(yes, you saw it coming, I know):
Guy Acquisition Syndrome
(hope my wife doesn't catch this one as well, once I've got her guitar for her)


In short, the family is having a GAS attack of monumental proportions.

Grave, gonad, gagga, googoo, gravid, gradely, geriatric all start with G....

I guess these definitions could form a pseudo-mathematical progression. Complete with circular references. Something like the Cycle of GASs.

AKA "Sol La Syndrome": just two notes, but with feeling

For poorer people there is "Graftonite Acquisition Syndrome" - starting at a B5 and ending up either on a C9 or even an M11.

For people with senseless amounts of cash, and too many saxes, crooks etc. There is "Guardala Acquisition Syndrome", where people are eventually playing a Guardala mouthpiece on Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Baritone, all bought for in excess of £600+.
