I have always really liked the great music made by Bob Wilber and Kenny Davern, who played together as Soprano Summit and later as Summit Reunion. One recording of theirs that made a big impression on me was "On the Sunny Side of the Street" with Kenny's lovely clarinet and Bob's tasty soprano improvising together and separately.
I asked Curtis Swift of saxsolos.com to transcribe the clarinet and soprano lines and was going to try to record both parts on soprano. Then I heard @jbtsax playing some great clarinet here on the forum and invited him to play along with me, despite being on the other side of an ocean. He really threw himself into the project, transcribing the piano solos from the original recording, helping with the BiaB backing track and then recording a beautiful clarinet part.

It has been a lot of fun to do and has given me a lot of respect for the musical abilities of the musicians who can create such great music from thin air.
