Hi bob
If you ever listen to radio 2 you might remember there was a truck driver who regularly phoned in with traffic news to Sally Traffic and he called himself "Bob up and down". I assume as he was always driving up and down, you could say you are always playing up and down the scales! I think he has retired now, so he won't mind you pinching his handle.
