Where is he?

Hey, I'm still around now and then but my saxophone studies came to a halt over the summer as I took on a full time job which only left me practice time at anti-social hours.

Just like the rest of us, then? >:)

You obviously didn't fight hard enough, 2.20 the cheapest pint isn't exactly cheap! But if it makes you feel any better I'm only in England for 18 months, I also spend 18 months in Germany studying and a year on work placements. I'm now doing European Business and German. I'll also be awarded 2 degrees on the basis I pass them both. One from the German institute as well as Portsmouth.

So far it's been going much better and I'm glad to be studying German again. Surprisingly I'm enjoying the maths too. I'm going to be living in Muenster next year which I'm rather excited about.
TRAITOR!!!!!!!
Not only does he throw back in my face the eight World Wars I fought in, but "didn't fight hard enough". He then learns German. All I needed was number, rank and name.

In the World Wars against the Huns and the Christmas break footie match, I did my bit.

Muenster!!!! That's where I got gassed, me left leg blown off and me fatal wound.

He then mocks me with complaints about the price of beer. We poor old soldiers can't afford water let alone beer. Mumble.....mutter......curse......smoulder.........teenagers........no respect......ungrateful, please add any remarks you feel fitting.

Hi Linky - Welcome back and good luck with it all - Before we all know it we'll be able to say,

"Aaah yes, European Commissioner Hayden - We all knew him when he was but a slip of a lad."

All the Best,

Hey, PaulyT. Have you got a new band going yet?

Hi Jeff,

I had a couple of false starts - but next week I've got a meeting with a drummer and two guitarists (still looking for a bass-player) with a view to putting a "Classic Rock" band together. We'll be doing Queen, Black Sabbath, AC-DC, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, Hendrix and all that genre as well as a bit of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest just for balance!! >:)
What are you up to these days?

Still playing tenor in the Harlow Concert Band , rehearsals every wednesday and a couple of concerts now and again. We have a joint concert this saturday with the City of Peterborough band.

Lots of show and film theme medleys. The only down side is the military arrangements. I hate them. Too many complicated rhythyms in 6/8.

Still looking for a group to jam with though. I have a big desire to play less formal stuff. Pity your sessions stopped I just got the courage to play without dots in front of me.

This thing about Bob and Jools disappearing. It does seem worrying. Do you know anything?

Hi, yes I'm doing some musical directorship. Come see me and the Pompey University Big Band in action at the new theatre royal in Portsmouth on 29th November!

Where have you been these last 20 years Old git? Only 8 world wars, are you some kind of slacker? what kind of example does that set? but take solace, beer will soon be cheaper than water and you won't feel the aches and pains of old age so much 😛

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
