To heat up a pub, get a radiator!

Oh yes, how to heat up any venue, just give Dooce a call and get his band, The radiators, along to liven the place up. Simon (Pjonah) and I went along to a very picturesque pub called The Avon in Avon Dasset to witness the Radiators do their stuff, and very well they did it too. Bill is not only a "Conn honker," he's a flute tooter, a block knocker, a tambourine shaker and he does some singing too! There was a small area in front of the band that soon filled with dancers (personally I found that very uncomfortable as I'm not used to the dancers being under seventy years old, and some of these were even good looking!) Luckily Simon had a camera with him so hopefully we'll be able to see some good pictures.

Cheers Pete. It was a great gig - the audience at The Avon is always well up for it.

By contrast, we did a gig at a village club yesterday and they appaluded the first number, then went back to chatting, watching the tele, going outside for a fag and generally ignoring the band. Utterly de-motivating.

Very kind Simon, and if you could slip that BIAB CD in with the photos, that would be luvverly 🙂

Raised pinky flute-playing stylee is obviously a hang-over from my youthful experiences playing in some fairly precious chamber-music ensembles. Obviously I must work on developing a more macho technique :laugh:
