Yes, the test with the Carmichael and YTS-23 is off. There is no contest. That's a little unfair on them both as the Carmichael is around 3 years old I believe (per Karacha) and the YTS 30 years old even if the pads are newly resurrected. But it was the same with the SDA, when you pick up a great instrument and your fingers fly with little thought it's a great feeling. Tenor.... done!

The Alto contest is more difficult as, though the SDA is great too, I still appreciate how fortunate I was to stumble on the Buffet 400 early on, and it has the more modern keywork, similar to the Grassi's. Time will tell....
