should I buy I a cheap chinese import? what should I l;ook out for?

Warning : I'm only a beginner so cannot claim any expertise.

In my reading on google groups, Sax on the Web, and here I've noticed that well respected people say gear4music can be good quality for the money. You'll also find lots of praise for Hanson here.

Shopping randomly on eBay is not a good idea. (Confession : For fun I sometimes throw in cheap bids on the off-chance of an eBay bargain, accepting the risk that it could well be cash thrown away. Though I don't bid on Chinese sax .)

If I was buying my first sax on a limited budget I'd follow the advice above from guys who know.
