Mouthpieces RPC mouthpieces - do they live up to the hype? Oh yes.

Jon,
I'm amazed that you omitted moi as a well known advocate of Ron's work and as such, the next time you drop round to pick up a flute, you can have it free. Do suggest you bring your own Vaseline though. 😉

Oh yes!
The only hard rubber tenor mouthpiece to pull me away from metal. I suspect the right Lamberson for me could also do the same thing though.

On alto the 90R is more than enough for home use so I use a Gwind NYMC #8 but the RPC would probably be my gigging choice.

On baritone I have tried Otto link, Lawton and standard Yamaha only before the RPC and none come close in terms of versatility.

When Pete briefly played my alto JJDV and then his RPC(90R?), I thought the DV was comparatively a bit brighter, more edgy and more focused.

We each liked our own better...just as it should be 🙂
I know that I am good enough to get anything like its 'full potential' from the DV (yet)!

I found my RPC (80B) ....now residing elsewhere...just a tad more resistant than the DV, but my teacher couldn't hear any significant difference.

I have a JJ HR 7 with an Ed Zentera baffle which is, I think, very close to the 80B in sound and feel.

Hi nachoman!

I like the "Jumbo Thomas" very much.

I can only come up with "The Baffled Thomas" and the "Vandonin Java".
Is there a prize being offered yet - A "Rico Graftonrite" or "Thelma is 80"?

Only Joking 8)
Kind regards
Tom
