Rousseau Mouthpiece: Classic v. New Classic

I am looking for a first mouthpiece (i.e. after the one that came with the instrument) suitable for classical repertoire on an alto.
It looks like a Rousseau would be most suitable. Does anyone have any comments comparing the Classic with the New Classic?
Another option would be a Runyon 88. Any views on this?

you may get better reaction over at sotw on this Michael, can't recall having seen Rousseau's mentioned on here since I've been popping in.

I don't think there are any Rousseau mpc users here. I asked a question about them once and although a few people gave useful background info on them, nobody seemed to have actually tried one apart from a guy in Stockport who was selling his.

There isn't a huge response on SOTW to a search on "Rousseau", but certainly more than here...... in reply to a similar question a member said something like "Either would probably be OK, they are both nice free-blowing mouthpieces".

The 'industry standard' Is the Selmer S80 C*.

I'd recommend getting to a shop and comparing the three. See which you like the best.
