Polishing cloths

I`m not sure I would get the correct answer from Yamaha so will pose the question here. With my new gold coloured tenor a "polishing "cloth came . Does anyone know if this is just a soft cloth or has it been treated to aid in removing surface stains etc, like the Goddard silver polishers? Thanks.

Most of such cloths are, I think, simply 'microfibre' cloths, which are suitable for just about any smooth surface, and don't need any sort of polish added.

Used very slightly damp they will remove most 'surface stains', although tarnished silver/copper/brass does need the appropriate metal polish.
