Nose leaks

It sounds silly. I am having this problem now. After playing for about 30 minutes, air starts to leak through my nose. The situation is getting a bit better than what i experienced few months ago. However, it is quite frustrating and scary. I can still manage to play but got to play it soft when it starts to leak.

Anyone here has the same experience or heard of such problem?

Not through my nose, no!

But if I play clarinet for longer than I'm used to nowadays I sometimes get air escaping round the mouthpiece, especially when playing loud. I imagine in both cases it's simply the embouchure muscles tiring so leaks develop. The more you play and build up the muscles, the less it should happen.

Interesting subject this. I been experimenting by closing my lips and blowing so my cheeks puff out, and no air escapes from the nose, it seems you block up your nasal passage with your tongue.
Maybe you are losing the strength in your tongue 🙂
Why not put a clothes peg on your nose, or get one of those clips divers and snorkellers put on their noses :cry:

No not had the problem, only when I tried circular breathing
