Beginner impro music notation

Ive just got a question about how to write music notation of a fast trill from b to bflat

Trills are from the lower note to the higher note, so would be from the Bb to the B.

Noted with the trill symbol tr.

However this would have to be notated with two different note degrees of the scale so would either be A# to B or Bb to Cb

Write a Bb with a trill sign above it and put a little flat sign just above the trill sign. So you're trilling from Bb to Cb. If you're in the key of Gb or Cb then you don't need the extra little flat sign. If the Bb is really an A# then just write an A# with a trill sign.

While I seem to remember an "inverted trill" with a vertical line similar to the mordent, there is no track of it on the internet, so probably I made it up, or whoever wrote the theory book I studied made it up.
Remember that the fact that some embellishment does not exist, would never stop an Italian musician to write it.

Once this is sorted, if you still want to start from B/Cb, you write an appoggiatura on the Bb/A#

But your answer was actually better re: the Cb being an accidental or in the key signature.

As the better qualified above say. The notes of the trill are assumed to be diatonic, I.e. Part of the key you're in. Hence the references to notating an A# or, if you are in a key with a Bb, you use the flat to indicate trilling with Cb, unless you are in a truly weird key with 6 or 7 flats in it...
