Mouthpiece specs.

Anyone know the correct way to measure the various dimensions/specs of mouthpieces, tip opening, facing curvature, length etc. Preferably a link to an on-line diagram or some such.

I just know that I am going to (actually I already do) feel the need for a different mpc, but my standard 'in-the-box' ESM doesn't have any markings on it to indicate what it is or to enable a comparative change.

Thanks.

Hi Ken,

I do remember seeing a diagram on measuring mouthpiece facings and openings, etc but I cant remember where. not much help I know but here is a link to a site that has a comparison chart for sop, alto and tenor mouthpieces.

http://www.bill-lewington.com/charts/altosax.htm

Regards

Griff

Hello harmonix,

Thanks very much for the link.

This may be interesting to one or two others who are presently discussing older mpc's in other threads.

Thanks again.

Ken.
