Humor Misheard Lyrics - Any Good Ones ?

Here's a debate. Steely Dan's Deacon Blues. The lyrics that came with the album had him "die behind the wheel" , but I figured it should be "dine behind the wheel", which makes more sense for a working musician on tour. But it's Fagin and Becker... so die behind the wheel works too.

In the song, Take On Me, by Ah-Ha, the vocalist, Morten Harket sings, "I'll be gone" and then his voice goes very high and I never could make out what he said. Years later I finally looked up the lyrics and they are "in a day or two". I don't think that I would have ever worked that one out.

To me, if you "drink Scotch whisky all night long" your chances of dying behind the wheel go way up.

I've actually had lots of meals on steering wheels after drinking scotch all night.

A classic of mine, from 80s pop....the tune Voices Carry by the forgettable 'Til Tuesday...

I always thought the chorus was

" Hush, hush....even down-town...this is Scary"

...until I heard a coworker singing to it and I said 'ohhhh...THAT'S the lyrics ?!"

At the same time period...my GF at the time was once singing to Todd Rundgren "I don't wanna work" and she thought the second half of the chorus was...

"I just wanna lie and be drunk all day"

last one was Chumbambwa's "I Get Knocked Down..."

To which nobody could figure out the lyrics of the chorus if you didn't know the tune title....we made up some great alternatives, tho...

Funny, the actual name of that tune is "Tubthumping" which features nowhere in the lyrics.

And for the longest time I thought the girl in the video was Jamie Lee Curtis.
