low c key sticking

hi all;help needed.my low c key is sticking but not with moisture.to get low c i have to push the key with my right pinky then pull it back into position.instead of just releasing my little finger.it seems to have stiffened up.i have not knocked it and it was fine last night.please help me.mally(ita a alto selmer prelude about 2 years old).

Have you checked if the spring is still in place, it may have slipped off the nipple, happens now and then. The only other thing I can think of if you haven't knocked it, is to maybe put a thin smear of grease on the rod. They dry up with use.
