Anyone into the screaming sounds of alto player John Zorn? Zorn is also a prolific composer of many genres. I'm particularly enjoying his masada quartet with trumpet player Dave Douglas..

Yes, he's very versatile, almost always bizarre, doesn't always scream, he can be very tasty. i spin his naked city album quite often.

He is grand.. There's an album with him Dave Douglas and Mike Patton from Faith No More/Mr Bungle/Tomahawk etc no words just Patton making noises! It's very out there but amazing!

inspiring and frustrating in equal measure. I've given Naked City and The Big Gundown good listen and his playing's great. The frustration is that he never seems to let anything run for more than about 2 minutes so you can never really 'get into' any particular piece before it jumps to the next..... I'd really like to hear him play in a less self conciously quirky idiom.
