Jazz-Funk Fusion

Does anyone know of any jazz-funk fusion bands out there? I am starting to get interested in this style. I wanted to listen to some of these types of bands around. All replies will be helpful. Thanks.

From the 1970s try the Average White Band, The Brecker Brothers, David Sanborn (solo and with band) through the 1970s, 80s, 90s. Also Tom Scott & the L.A. Express from the 1970s. Earth, Wind & Fire come to mind as well, and The Crusaders with Wilton Felder, Joe Sample. Ernie Watts playing with The Meeting. Do a search through the Internet should reveal a few other bands, solo performers, etc.

P.S. This is the original eighties Band with Dave Weckl on drums, Eric Marienthal on sax, Frank Gambale on gitter, John Patitucci on bass. They only made a few albums with this line up. Check out Youtube for vids.

Russ Freeman's Band the Rippingtons is a contemporary fusion band might be worth your checking them out, there've been various lineups over the years, plenty of vids on youtube.
