It's me again, with another problem. I know what I am doing wrong, but can't seem to correct it. My teacher says it will come in time, which it might, but it is frustrating the heck out of me. When I read music, I only read the note as I play it. I don't read ahed. As a result, every note takes me by suprise, and when I hit a difficult bit ( matter of perspective I know) I kind of collapse. So, any suggestions as to how to overcome this presumably mental problem guys ? I have tried slowing it down, but when It speeds up again I hit the same issue. AAAaaarrghhh !!!

Your teacher is right it will come in time. I've been sight reading only 6 months. I found that after a bit you read the next bar or so and now if It's something I've played before I read ahead even more. Mind you if it's a new piece I'm still not very good at reading ahead. It's another one of the skills that come with practice.

Keep at it and don't get too stressed about it. 🙂
