Nope...definitely cat's hair....there's still plenty in this Borgani and other saxes - very difficult to get rid of. My pet died and left her mark all over my home. She couldn't stand the altos but was happy with sopranos and tenors. Go figure, maybe sensitivity to certain frequencies? Or maybe I should stick to Bb saxes?😎

Pipe cleaners are versatile and work well for this.

Plastic is only a problem when disposed of. I wouldn't have thought rattling round in a case or toolbox, for a lifetime, offers any environmental problems.

"Plastic is ONLY a problem when disposed of...." - and where does it goes when disposed? It won't disappear in outer space (and that wouldn't be a good solution either) - maybe it ends up being eaten by fish? Or birds which mislead shapes and colours for edible food (yes, it happens unfortunately) - then we are going to eat fish and birds full of microplastics....I might go on and on and on.
Simple fact: we should avoid overusage of "stuff" not just plastics whenever possible - buying this stuff only encourage further production of useless and harmful junk.

Your book is part of my arsenal - I bought it decades ago in some music shops in London and one of the few I kept when moving to Manchester. Very useful indeed - I forgot about that octave bit (mostly because never had issues with it)...but then we often don't use books anymore, we go online check emails and enter forums or google to find quick answers.
