I am fifty. I just start collecting, and play, many type of mini/pocket/little/pipe/bamboo saxophone. I play guitar and piano (just play for personal pleasure, a hobby). I just start to move to the real saxophone and find this forum is likely will be help me alot to start my jurney with this interesting instrument.

They are not better than each other, but there is a difference in sound

You can decide which you prefer by listening to sax music you like

Sound-wise I like Tenor. On the other way, I am 165cm and look like the Tenor is too big for me.

Height is no obstacle. A tenor is still a lot shorter than you

I have a colleague who is shorter and who plays baritone

Alto and tenor are very similar in difficulty
