Yup. I'm just waiting for my sax to arrive, listening to some great sax playing by Sonny Criss.

As promised here are pics of my new Jean Paul alto. It arrived yesterday afternoon. I played my first ever scale (don't know which one though ) and today played 'When The Saints Go Marching In'. So basic and simple a tune but hey, I've never played a sax before. (back pats......). Okay, tease away.....

Looks good - I'd upgrade the pad saver to something like one of the HW ones (search for 'HW pad saver'). Opinions vary on them...

Thanks everyone for the positive comments and encouragement, much appreciated. I'll tell you I had some truly strange and piercing sounds when I tried for the upper/higher octave (yikes!). I'm sure I scared our resident birds, deer and any other critters away but hopefully not for too long.
I have read about the pad saver quality and probably will sometime upgrade, thanks for the tip.
Onward to more squawking and maybe even another short tune!
