Having trouble with embouchure, help!

Hey guys, bought my very first saxophone about a month ago and I can start to play some very basic tunes. However, as I read more infor mation about saxophone, I realised that my embouchure is not good. everytime when I blow, I can hear the sound of air leaking from mouth! what Im I doing wrong?

any tips or advice will be great, thanks.

Where are the experts on this question? remember you dont blow the thing its a hore, think of steaming up a mirror ,stretch your bottom lip over your teeth, do not bite the mouth piece, seal your top lip over it and gently expel air, one last tip think of a hot potatoe in the back of your throat.

Also, being a new starter, it will take a little time to stengthen the muscles required for a good embouchure.....

The Art of Saxophone Playing - Larry Teal

It has some great tips and techniques for strengthening the embouchure and much much more.

Thanks for the feedbacks guys. I already checked the article on this website on the topic. I just purchased the book "the art of saxophone play" so hopefully that will help. 🙂
