Miscellaneous Happy Columbus Day

As the title says Happy Columbus Day. Also Happy Thanksgiving if you happen to be a Canadian. I don't know if Columbus Day is a holiday in the UK or not. History tells us that Christoper Columbus must have been an alcoholic. When he started his voyage, he didn't know where he was going. When he got there, he didn't know where he was. When he returned, he didn't know where he'd been, and plus he conned a woman into paying for the whole thing.

Did you know that....
The Italian Socialist Party was founded in Genoa in 1892 so the delegates could take advantage of the free trains for the 400th anniversary celebrations?

Now, a guy from Genoa, with Spanish money, discovers the wrong place, and the inhabitants have to follow the mistake?

Fats Waller was terrific. Rocking music, great fun and a prolific composer. Legend has it that at school his son was asked what his father did. He replied "He drinks gin".
