I was also a pro sax player for many years playing for all the old British Rock n Rollers such as Jess Conrad Wee Willie Harris, Tommy Bruce & Heinz etc plus have played in many pit orchestras and still playing in a Big swing Band

Hi Geoff H. I do my own repairs in Whalley Range because I'm too tight to pay someone else to do it! The last time I had work done was years ago when John Clark ran a shop on Tibb St in central Manc. These days (I just googled him) he seems to work out of the Johnny Roadhouse music shop on Oxford Rd (I'm struggling to find a landmark for you that isn't a 'used to be' - OK, just down from where the Mancunian Way goes over). Here's a link. The work was good, but I have no idea how to judge if he's OK on price - he was OK back then:

Dunno what model/ year of JK, but RH side F# is usually a needle spring on these. Here one spring replacement runs $20-$25 if that helps.

Not his own - everybody's!
And posts up lots of details here - which is why your question if funny.

If you're not confident/handy etc. It's probably a quick fix when you find a tech.

Not sure of a proper response to this inquiry ?
I’m not a certified doctor, but I’ve mended myself several times over the last 65 years. Some results better than others. Still, I consider most of my own repairs durable and long lasting. Affordable too !
