Hi Eddie. If it's just experience playing with other musicians in front of people you want, find out if there are any jam sessions in your area and go along. As they are quite informal there's no pressure to be excellent, I've been to quite a few and they are always very friendly affairs. They can also be a good way of improving your playing, and you may get to hook up with other people who are putting together a more regular band.

Noting your locale, I would be very interested in hearing of jam sessions venues/opportunities that you are aware of. I got involved in a couple such things in days (very) long past, when I could count myself as a guitarist - I am really keen to get my head around what the space looks like for a budding saxophonist...

In fact, regardless of locale, it might well be of quite general interest if folk in different areas could post any such opportunities, more or less formal, whatever they may be.

TIA
Alan
