i was just wondering what other bands are playing at the moment..
the little notes and keys are what the bass player always puts on our lists..Keys are concert..no key means tune will be decided on the night..

At Butlins last month, I saw The Blues Band and they faffed around in between numbers deciding what they were going to play next and what key etc. Apparently they stopped using set lists 10 years ago. As far as I'm concerned it was an experiment that definitely did not work!
The only problem with having a set list is that, if the front man decides to leave a number out, it confuses the hell out of the rhythm section :laugh:

Cheers Bob - Yeah, We can usually get 'em up dancing early in the first set. I played sax on "Gimme Some Lovin" but now we've got a sax player he's working out how he can play on most of the stuff. Those he can't - he does backing vocals for. Very handy

I know but these days Mozart wouldn't be let out ot the home on his own to play keyboards in a pub and who needs someone like VM stomping off stage, with the hump after, 20 minutes on a Friday night down the Rose and Crown in front of all your mates? :laugh:

"Night in Tunisia" - in my top five ever favorites! Yusef Lateef does a storming version of that tune.
