Can I download a bit of software to do this.....?

Can I download a virtual sheet of music paper, write a melody on it and then get it played back? Any sound/tone will do, but preferably something piano-like, it's only something for me to experiment with so nothing too hi-fi or complex is required.

As far as I can tell Finale Notepad will do this (and much more) available as a free download here:
