Animals Bees

Solitary bee?
I suspect so, although I'm not certain. We definitely have signs of solitary bees living in the garden, with holes in the soil typical of their behaviour.

We've also had distinctly non-solitary bees - a few years ago we had a huge swarm settle in the garden. The beekeeper who took them away reckoned there were 15-20,000 of them.

About need and other flying insects, I was very impressed by the flight demonstration of the super hornet at le Bourget Air Show on 2013.

I always had a sweet spot for hornets...

I too have bees in my garden I thought they are miner bees,I have always fancied keeping bees but people have said you need to have a licence and get the permission of all your neighbours so I suppose if you live in suburbia it might not be easy to keep everybody happy

Our house is right by the Lt. Governor's property and they have several hives. Their bees are usually over to our house most nice days doing their bee thing. There are two bushes (dont ask me the names, my thumb has no green) that when they flower they descend en mass, literally hundreds of them. They seem to be very friendly, as I can work right by them with no issues
