So, I have some problems tuning my Jupiter baritone (pro). Too low in the low register and / or too high in the middle/ high register.
Especially F sharp and G in the middle register are way too high. A lot more pressure in the low register and loosening the high nearly gets me there, but then I can’t properly pitch. I play an Otto link 7* mouth piece. Any suggestions are appreciated.

How long have you been playing baritone and has it always had this pitch tendency ?

What strength reeds are you playing at the moment ? Sometimes a stronger reed can help pitch consistency but it can be tempting to play softer reeds for their ease of playing down low on baritone.

And make sure that you are not tightening your embouchure in the second register.

I played a Dukoff D9. It was soo stuffy in the low register and I was sinking in the higher register. I talk with a baritone player about it. He told me to forget most of things I did on tenor. Bought a smaller mouthpiece with lower baffle. I also started to use softer reeds.

Well, too low in the bottom register could be because the horn's leaky and you're dropping your jaw to blat out those notes. Too high in the upper register could be pad heights set too high, or you're pushed in too far and need to pull out a bit and firm up the embouchure. That'll affect the short tube notes more than the long tube notes.

All the leaks were recently fixed. I’ll try the embouchure trick. If you say pad heights set too hight, do you mean they are too thick?
