Advice please?

Philth, I've been advertising to start any kind of ensemble locally but no response, from a piano-sax duet to sax quartet, to concert band etc. No interest. So any band I start, I don't mind if peeps read music or not nor their experience - it's just to have fun and maybe earn some pennies but mainly to delight audiences. There seems to be snobbery from both angles - those who don't read have an attitude with those who do and those who are classically trained at conservatory level, don't like those who aren't as 'good' as them...
