I still have this problem on my YTS-23. Even started to play palm D instead. Not ideal, but it feels better. I just have to get used to playing it that way.

It just doesn't feel right for me, old dog new tricks I guess

For years I played too high on the input pitch. After this was corrected I was amazed how much more in tune the typically sharp notes such as A and D became. What's more the D had a better tone than it ever had before. Just a thought. :)
