tuition in London W/SW?

Having just started playing again it seems to me that I could do with tuition to at least get my embouchure sorted out (I 'm committing that sin of tightening when moving to the middle and upper registers).

I know there are LOTs of teachers but has anybody any particular recommendations? Alternatively Morley College ( a hop, skip and a jump from London Waterloo) do classes for all levels (as I think Richmond College do as well). Does anybody know of these places? Morleys's tutor is Max Grunhard (ring any bells for folk?).

Interestingly Morley also do a course in Bulgarian folk singing!

Ive been to the one in richmond .I was great fun . Great teacher.
A bit of atrek from north london so if any one knows of something similar this side of the river .....................

I've had lessons from Tony Woods - nice bloke, great alto sound. He also teaches at Richmond Saturday morning prog and runs a jam session at Ascot. Best if you're on alto sax - contact him on towoods AT lineone.net

Jane South in SW19 - also teaches flute and piano. Look up on www.musicteachers.co.uk which will have a list - depends on what style you want to play, of course. She plays jazz, contemporary, folk, world and others. google 'jane south flute' and hers will the first on the list.

Sorry, I don't know any big hairy biker types/bluesy efforts 😛

Kind regards
