That's a seriously expensive piece of brass, notwithstanding the gold plate. Now add in international shipping and import duty..... And no guarantee that it'll help, either.

I was directing my comments to Saxophone Sally who is in the 6th grade. In the US we have school band classes in which the students sit while playing. The exceptions, of course, are the high school marching bands.

This should perhaps be in a new thread, but: anyone got any tips for playing tenor sitting down? This is how I do most of my playing outside the house, and I've yet to find a comfortable position. My hands want the horn to be fairly straight up and down (my fingers hurt just from looking at pictures of Lester Young in his heyday) but then I'm twisting to one side in the chair, which is not so good for breathing. Doesn't help that most chairs in this world are too small for me.
