Swingin playback in cubase

Anyone au fait with cubase?

I've written a big band swing thing in straight quavers using the (awful) scoring software in cubase SX, but want it to play back swung.

Is this possible?

Help!

the option is in the MIDI Quantize Setup options 'Swing' (not in any score options).

what Cubase are you using? I'm familiar with SX3 and 4.

in both there are 'quantise' functions.

You choose 'quantise set-up' and then select a percentage of swing to be added. It will also shift the notes closer into time for when you play things in via midi controllers.

I find the best thing to do is notate in 'Finale' or something similar you like, then import into Cubase as midi and then fiddle around to get it sounding good.

Whoops! about time I made a fool of myself.

I think I'll go edit that right now incase there are any other younguns lurking around.
