FYI

When people want to create an account on MySpace so that they can upload their own music they are usually disappointed because they have an 'ordinary' account created. If you want to create a site where you can can upload personal compositions, you need a band login.

Go to:

http://signup.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=bandjoin

and that should do the trick for you.

Exactly what I didn't do when I put my soundclip up, Moz!! I had to go through the rigmarole all over again, and I'm not good with computers 🙁

It may be too late for me, but it's a good tip anyway

No, not too late Bob!
Keep your ordinary account for personal or non-music networking (where you can still have 1 of your music tracks attached to your profile anyway) and open a second account as well (using a second email address) for your Music / Band profile where you upload only music related items - I've found a few musicians doing this, i.e.
