late Xmas present - microphone

Just received one of these sony microphones for pc/laptop, works a treat, much easy than setting up my more expensive ones....

Thought if anyone had been given a few quid for Xmas then you could treat yourself!

search Ebay item number: 260199382997 - don't enter into bidding & pay too much as this company have dozens weekly so should only cost ?5 delivered.

This plugs straight into the PC without any need for messy cabling? Sounds like a good thing to me..

Yes Bob, either plug unit straight into computer mic socket, or via supplied extension cable so you can say, plug in rear of PC and positition in front of horn....

what's the sound quality like with one of these?

I'm in the process of buying a macbook pro and logic studio 8 so am looking for a way to get decent quality audio into the mac at as low a cost as possible.

Sound quality is much better than built in mic... judged on 'you get what you pay for' it is great!

I have Samson USB, plus T-bone cc75 & M audio duo.. I will do direct comparison but unfortunately not for some weeks as totally bogged down with work....

[color:green]Still waiting for my mic to arrive. Just noticed the seller is now not a registered user!!!! I did get an e-mail from him saying it had been despatched. Hopefully it will arrive soon and I won't have to try and get a refund from Paypal!!!! :cry:
