I Have a Tenor

Some on you may know that due to a deal with Bobby G, I now have a Yani Tenor Sax! (finally got rid of that Dolnet)

Its Pretty Awesome. I love the feeling of playing Tenor.... its like your actually playing a SAX... if you know what I mean (im a soprano player you see). Those Rumbling Low notes just feel great!

I;m Enjoying this new experience. At the moment I'm using a Rico Royal Mouthpiece, but am looking to upgrade soon.

Thats about it... just thought I would update you other members on whats beem going on 🙂

If the Dolnet alto is anything to go by, I'm sure their tenor is wonderful.

Jambo, I hope you enjoy that Yani a much as I'm enjoying the Dolnet

One knock-on effect of all this is that my YTS-23 has come out of semi-retirement. While it's not as good a horn as the Yani, it feels to me like more of a 'friend', if you like. Also, for the amount I play tenor (i.e. not much), I couldn't really justify keeping two.

That Rico Royal mouth piece, is it the Arnold Brilhart designed piece, because I would be interested to hear what you think of it?

I was thinking about one for my Bari, I've only seen them available from US stores though.
