Hank Mobley transcriptions

I really like Hank Mobley a lot and want to do some articulation tone work playing along with his records.

I know I could spend a while transcribing his tunes but I've got exams at the moment so practise is decreasing slightly anyway.

Anyone know of some transcriptions around or if there are any published works?

Hank Mobley - now yer talkin'! Hugely underrated and brilliant...

i don't know of any published transcriptions featuring hank mobley... i'd be keen to check one out if there was. i do have a transcription of the 'nica's dream' solo he did with art blakey if yer interested (great solo)...

also, check out charles mcpherson's site listed on the good oil... he's done some transcriptions of his i think

Wow! so much response, I was of the expectation that nothing turned up at all.

Hank Mobley is probably my favorite tenor player, and I was even thinking of sitting down and transcribing Soul Station in the extended summer holidays I have between exams and university.

I may get round to it If I can find some motivation!

I would be interested in that Solo Simon, unless it's the same as the other version of it linked to, then you don't need to go through the effort.

EDIT: I bought the two tracks from soul station at saxsolos.com and received them within hours. They're very good though I wish the chords were written above. I guess I'll sit at the piano and see if I can work out what they are.
