I found this vid today, which fits with how I want to practice. Thinking in the way described should bring some sense to the way I practice and improvise
By having to think through the note values to the assigned digits I hope it will also push me into thinking 'Db' as well as 'C#', 'Ab' as well as 'G#' and all other enharmonic notes I have the lazy way of assigning only the one value, no matter the scale or key
