wow.. this is one of my favorite tune and Ive found a vid of the great man himself..
what i like most about this video is Benny Golson (sax)who wrote the tune can just stand back and just support Lee Morgan (trumpet) in such a subtle way as to let LM express in any way he wants. Doesnt even need to take a solo. what a guy.. as they always say less is more..
incidentally you can really hear Morgans technique coming through on this ballad...he used to play the Arban cornet method book for an hour a day..great book even for a sax player to have..
