Through a friend here in Hong Kong I have been given a pretty comprehensive set of the recordings of Arne Domnerus - a name new to me.

Well, I grew up listen to Arne as he was always on swedish TV playing in popular evening shows on TV 1 and TV 2.
I love his approach as it all seems to play so easily.
He was a Great clarinet player as well.

Some of the tracks I've been given have him playing clarinet - and as you say, he's excellent. I assume that a lot of the YouTube stuff must be from the programmes you were watching?

Absolutely - or some that you were vaguely aware of but had never really listened to. I just really got into listening to Arnett Cobb - another underrated and relatively little known great player.
