I am about to do a PPT metal passaround, starting with US members as I have one currently over there reviewed by Steve Neff. Anyone interested please contact me via PM.

Please note, this is for regular active members, and I may not be able to get it around to everyone as I'm going to need it back in a while anyway. It's going out on a first come first serve basis, you will be responsible for damage or loss.

PM sent.

I'd really like to try this out - wonder if it's the same as the one I tried down in Cowplain ? That was an excellent piece and I would really enjoy playing it for longer.

I heard the Steve Neff clip and thought what the hell i am a long lost cause we all know that so i just bought a metal PPT 8* rhodium tenor piece off Pete today.I have high hopes on it and it looks very nice.Glad i got a rhodium finish. My sweet little baby Ted WOW Klum focustone handcraft is in that finish.Silver rules in my book. The Neff clip sounds great.Loads of core and body for such a baffle type.Plus the 117 tip is my ideal size in most high baffle tenor pieces.Cant wait to slap a reed on it when it comes.

I've had quite a few requests via PM, which I'll answer here.

It's a tenor 8* with brushed gold finish, normal price of these is £380, reduced to £320. Also available in 7* and 9*. (Plus a couple of 9* Rhodium plate for £295)

Sadly the current passaround is in the US for a while. Don't worry, I'm not prejudiced against team cafe GB, it's just the the mouthpiece happened to be there for review by Steve Neff.

There is quite a long list of US folk (the passaround is also on SOTW) so it will be a while before it gets back here so meanwhile to make you all love me here is a special offer for active cafesaxophone members if you want to buy one:

Special Offer for Cafe Saxophone

Included freebie = two of the following:

  1. Taming The Saxophone vol III
  2. Midnight Playalongs (sheet music + CD)
  3. 2 x CDs (Mr Lucky and Midnight in the Naked City)

Normal return policy applies, ie you can return it up to 7 working days after receipt and get your money back (minus shipping of course). No restocking fee unless the mouthpiece is damaged.

Plus you get to keep the freebie.

To qualify you must be an active member and have more than 500 posts including at least 10 this year before the date of the offer, or be a paid subscriber. If you are interested please PM me.

Wot - even better than the Guardala..

I still love my old blue PPT, bought used from someone here...

I think this may end up more versitile than any DG piece due to its great warmth. The thing that shocked me was the weight of the piece,so heavy which may add to its great depth of sound yet with the high baffle its a great mix.Ony spent a couple of hours on it but out tonite so will soon know but it seems great already.
