Mouthpieces Theo Wanne's very sexy looking mouthpieces...

Jules, Jules Jules. Is there no end to your mouthpiece GAS? Saxscape, Theo Wanne, what else? Get yerself a nice RPC, it'll save a lot of angst in the long run.

I had mouthpiece GAS too. Now I'm cured (I think) 😛

Haven't played any of them but I have just bought three different models of Lawrie Waldron's superb tenor pieces.

Studio Saxophones have got them: http://www.studiosaxophones.co.uk/Data/Pages/law.htm

I have never seen or played such beautifully made mouthpieces and Lawrie is a lovely person to deal with.

For more pics of LAW pieces in different materials, see:

And for some sound clips (lots of tenor pieces, including Wanne's):

PS I know this doesn't answer the "exam question", but I wanted to spread the good word and he's British too.

The GAS isn't escaping (I've still only got my two Bergs)- I'm just wanting to thoroughly contemplete my options before I pounce!
Really wish the Metal V16 I had had got a bit more cut- that one was very close to perfect but just failed due to be being a bit too polite in amped up situations...

Oh dear. I am obviously missing something here.

a) they don't look a whole lot different to my old Lawton
b) when people start describing a saxophone mouthpiece, i.e a bit of metal/plastic that YOU PUT IN YOUR MOUTH as "sexy", I do wonder if I really want to be on the same website.......

They seem to be the same price form France.. so avoiding the VAT/import

If you're in UK and buying from France then surely you have to pay VAT ? You just don't pay any import duty.

Rhys

I think you might find that where any duty/VAT has been paid in any European Economic member country (or "State") the duty/VAT is deemed to have been paid for every country and cannot be levied again in another European Economic member country. This allows for free movement of goods within the member states. Doesn't seem to apply to booze and fags, though, for some reason.
