saxophone improvisation help

i've been playing clarinet for a while now and i can do a pretty good solo, but now i've started playing saxophone (well, a year ago i started), i've learned how to play it which wasn't too hard but i find the improvised solo's on saxophone i do are much more clumsy and boring then my clarinet solo's. i'm just wondering what techniques would be best to work on.

Why not post a soundclip in the soundclip section. It would be interesting to hear your clarinet and saxophone to compare.
