Another thing about Links - the bore where it fits onto the neck seems to be very slightly larger than other mouthpieces, meaning it may not feel very tight in situ, or may need pushing further down the cork which could lead to playing slightly sharp. Steaming the cork will expand it slightly and resolve these possible problems.

I tried my Link mpc today, and was very pleasantly surprised by the tone and volume - maybe my perception that it was a bit quiet was due to the reeds I was using; it sounded good, and as loud as my Selmer, using a Rico Jazz Select 2H reed.
