Mack The Knife Chords (Moritat)

Does ANYONE know the Correct chord changes to Mack The Knife (Moritat)
One verse only is needed, I simply cannot figure them out. Please Help.

These are the chords I use, alternative simpler version with Am7 instead of the C/E |Eb dim

Just to complicate things, the whole chord sequence shifts up by a semitone every couple of choruses, although obviously the relationships between the chords within the tune stay the same (Fever is another tune that does this).

That's right, in which case the final turnaround I gave would be Ebm7-Ab7 into the next chorus of Db.

On second thoughts, the G7 I put is probably wrong as well.

That could be |Dm7 - G7| or G11. There is a C in the melody, although Brecht was a bit of a one for the occasional crunch...

I've been busy with this since last september, here's a link to a transcription of a sonny rollins version with appropriate chord changes:

there are another two pages available by substituting Bb1.gif with Bb2.gif and Bb3.gif in the address. Great tune even without the modulations.
I have copies of the Roliins and Dexter Gordon versions both of whom play it without modulating.
