Ebay Henri Selmer - china ;-)

[Col9]

Item number 150147932655

they assure customers that are not scamers and they dont sell junk which is great.

So who is up for one? they sell a few different designs including a vintage look which is quite nice and they sell a nice nickle gold number. ?29.99 for a Selmer seems really good should I buy? =-)

Selmer at 30 quid sounds like a great deal!?

Total cost of ?153 for a cheapo Chinese sax? Pretty much standard eBay cost. If I were in the market for a cheap Chinese sax I'd get one from a UK supplier so I had at least some come-back if it's duff.

Thank god no one bid on it, its hog wash.

Some of these instruments are just crap, the chinese instruments marketed by UK companies are better as a UK company will not want the hassle of dealing with junk.

As for the Henri Selmer bit, well he'll be turning in his grave, but if you were on stage and someone asked after the gig what you were playing I couldn't look them in the eye and say a Selmer MKVI it would be embarrassing!

Crazy isnt it, But to someone new, they will just see the "Henri Selmer Paris" mark on the bell and may think they are getting a real one.8|
