Bently Saxophones

I got a Bently Curved Soprano Saxophone for a very good price on ebay recently. I am happy with it..... or at least it's worth what I paid for it

I was just wandering whether anyone else here owns a bently Sax? If so, what do you think?

I have an Bentley Alto Sax which I ahve to say I'm very happy with. Excellent value for money and seemingly ideal for me to learn on. However, the only other Sax I've played is an old jupiter, which was a rental and in serious need of some TLC.

So far I prefer the Bentley, but I am gonna head off to the Sax shop to try a few others.

wow - they do saxes in my name too?! thats fancy cars n a brand of brushes, and now saxes - might have to have a try on one - they student models, or do they do a few? I'm taking it their new saxes? Oli

Oli, many years ago, after the Crazy World of Arthur Brown folded (I'm sure you've been scared by "I am the God of Hell Fire, and I bring you..... Fire!"), Arthur Brown formed a group called Arthur Brown's kingdom Come, using a very early drum machine rather than a real drummer.

It's name was the Bentley Rhythm Ace.

Bently themselves say that their saxes are *affordable Quality* (can be played by anyone). However, I would say that they are beginner saxes.


p.s To Anyone interested in bently Saxes: I wouldnt buy a Bently form the web-site for 500quid. Look on ebay, they normally go for a could of hundered or so

I had a Bently - but I have to say that the after sales service was a lot short of satisfactory. I think it's one man and a dog importing them from Taiwan.

Anyone looking for a nice cheap sop should check out the occasional sales of used student model Blessings by Norman's Music on Ebay. I got one for under a 100 and it's great!
