Bari Esprit + Marca Jazz 2. With my Elkhart 300 Sop.

Works a treat! Give it a try if all you're getting is squeaks and bum notes.

Tried Yam 5C and the Bari, with RJS 2 and Rico Royal 2 and all horrible!

Might help someone, although we're all different!

Maybe , maybe not , you have to be careful with the Elky 300 Curved that a piece doesn`t accentuate the rather Brassy nature - it`s not Thin by any means, just brighter than a lot of sops and the Bari`s rather warm approach counteracts this to a degree (the Bari sounded a bit dull on your Bronze Deluxe to give a perspective) , the Yani metal (not the brightest of metal pieces) almost turned it into a sax shaped Trumpet .... the Problem with the Bari Esprit is that you need tongue depressors for reeds on it the gap is that narrow, the sop is one horn I`d happily play an 8 on !! the Bari is more like a 4*

With the bari esprit on sop I use a vandoren blue 1.5 and I can beat the trumpet for volume.
Numbers are a guide. What works, works.
