At my age, grades always mean going uphill.
ENJOY!™
@Tom: I'm 13yo and 6 feet tall, so I just use a neck strap.
So, too big for a soprano, then! In UK 8th Grade translates as Year 8 in school, or Year 2 secondary school as used to be.

It seems like so many of the senior members on Cafe Sax are from Europe...http://www.eppelsheim.com/eb_kontrabass_saxophon.php?lang=en
Take a look at his tubax as well..... To play these in a marching band I think you'd need to put wheels on them.... I saw them at an exhibition a couple of years ago - absolutely massive, but I didn't play them. Not as big as the alphorn that I did manage to coax a couple of notes out of....
Really must get down to Epplesheim's shop one day.
Hi Tom,
iirc 8th grade equates to Year 9, or 3rd year of secondary school for anybody over the age of 39.
Apologies, Lower Fourth.
